Dressing Baylou
Australian music and Australian fashion designers are both industries that need to be supported and nurtured to achieve their best. So as an Australian Fashion Designer, Lena Kasparian was thrilled to be approached by Baylou for both beautiful dress designs and styling for their latest film clips and their appearance at the Aria Awards in 2016.
Baylou are a unique sound, effortlessly blending pop and country music into something greater than the sum of the two parts. These two girls are so full of life and passion and it was an absolute joy to work with them on their personal styling for both video clips and for The Aria’s 2016.
Lena herself met with the girls to style them prior to the film clip shoot, which is part of our commitment to all customers when they book a specialised appointment at either our Rose Bay or Parramatta boutiques. We consulted with both girls to work out how to incorporate their individual personal style with the overall look and styling that they needed for their film clip. In the video, the girls are even wearing Lena Kasparian’s own wedding dress, demonstrating the generosity of the designer and the very sincere rapport that was developed between the designer and the band. A beautiful moment.
Both girls loved the dresses that they wore in their film clips, so much that they personally approached Lena Kasparian to wear designs from her latest collection to the Aria Awards in 2016. The absolute night of nights for the Australian Music Industry, Lena Kasparian was thrilled to provide beautiful dresses for such lovely ladies, and we are so proud that they were awarded Best Dressed on the night by the team from Pop Sugar. It is always nice to be recognised to the work that you produce, particularly when you have such a great time working with amazing clients like these girls!
It really goes to show that when Australian Fashion Designers and Australian Musicians come together, amazing things happen. We have absolutely loved collaborating with Baylou and wish them all the best in their future endeavours, we are absolutely waiting with baited breath for the next single – it's sure to be huge.
