In October 2015 Lena Kasparian organised an Old Hollywood inspired photo shoot to showcase her designs. Ms Kasparian wanted to portray the charm and elegance of the Golden Age of cinema. The Golden Age was a period of time that began in the late 1920s to the 1960s. Therefore the classical Hollywood style of the period was Lena’s creative vision behind the shoot. The photo shoot was held at a private estate in Oatlands in and photographed by Rizz O Graphy.

The shoot preparation began at 9am on a Sunday morning, with the female models getting ready with their hair and make up, including Lena helping out the MUA team with applying primer on the girls eyes. While the male models arrived around 10am, where they had their suit fittings and accessories. As the style behind the photo shoot was old school glamour the girls had there hair put in Hollywood curls and their make up was a classic winged eye with bright red lips. While the models were getting prepared morning tea was provided throughout the day including a cheese and deli platter, fresh fruit, sandwiches, croissants, scones and doughnuts.

By 11am, the first group of models were ready, the photo shoot dresses were in order and accessories laid out, all ready to go once the photographer arrived. As the photographer was setting up, the models prepared for the first shot by the stairway in the elegant home. The narrative behind this shot was the party guest listening to classical jazz music and chatting as they waited for the ladies up stairs to come down. The second shot was by the grand piano were the party guest played and sang along to the piano.

Once all the girls had there hair and makeup complete they were assigned their outfits for the outdoor shots. The outdoor shots included the guest hanging by the pools, playing a game of tennis and socialising in the courtyard. Other shots included photos of the guests arriving in style in a bright orange Lamborghini and a shot inside with all the guests dancing and singing around the grand piano. The final shot was Lena Kasparian herself with all her glamorous girls in the sitting room.

Lena directed and styled every shot creating sophisticated shots that radiated old Hollywood glamour. The photo shot was unarguable a fun and enjoyable day for all who made the shoot possible and thanks to everyone’s professionalism and diligence the photo shoot was competed on schedule by 3pm.
